Allu Arjun scores a hatrick, Naa Peru Surya collects Rs 101.16 cr
Allu Arjun’s recent release Naa Peru Surya has made Rs 101.16 crore according to the makers.
Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya released in theatres on May 4 and the film has since received mixed reactions from critics. However, reviews have not affected the box office performance of the film. The filmmakers tweeted a poster of the Allu Arjun-starrer and claimed that it has collected Rs 101.16 crore gross in the first week of its release. The tweet read, “#NaaPeruSuryaNaaIlluIndia running successfully.. Grossed 101.16cr in 1st week. Tamil & Malayalam versions entered into profits zone. #100CrGrossForNaaPeruSurya.
However, Andhraboxoffice has reported that the film has grossed Rs 76.7 crore in the first week. Have the filmmakers added the collection of second weekend as well? It is unclear.
Naa Peru Surya is about an angry soldier fighting to fit into the life of a common man who is blind to the corruption and failure of human society and live a comfortable life. He meets his father after 15 years, but treats him as he would any other psychologist and he gets treated like any other patient. In the film, he is paired opposite Anu Emmanuel.
Allu Arjun starrer also had Arju Sarja, Nadhiya and Sarathkumar play important roles in the film.
Before this, Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham and Sarrainodu both grossed Rs 100 crore at the box office, making this his third consecutive film to become a part of the Rs 100 crore club.
