Earlier this month, Amala Paul felt humiliated after she was reportedly asked for sexual favours by a businessman, and hence was forced to approach police. Talking to reporters soon after filing a police complaint, Amala said that the man asked for sexual favors and used vulgar language while she was rehearsing for an event in Malaysia, in a dance studio in Chennai. Actor Vishal appreciated Amala’s boldness to take up the incident with the police.

Amala Paul’s next few films include Bhaskar Oru Rascal and Raatchasan.

On Sunday, Amala thanked Vishal for standing by her side. “Thank you Vishal for standing by me and assuring me that I must not let it go, and I didn’t; now I believe it’s every woman’s duty, to not let it go and stand for themselves. He was ready to trade me off like a meatloaf, his guts make me sick, and his existence makes me sick #MeToo,” tweeted Amala.

Having made her Tamil debut in Myna, Amala has worked on projects such as Thaandavam, Thalaivaa and Amma Kanakku. She was briefly married to filmmaker Vijay, with whom she had worked in a few projects. The couple later got separated following some issues. Last seen on screen in Thiruttu Payale 2, Amala will be next seen in Tamil films Bhaskar Oru Rascal and Raatchasan. She also has a couple of Malayalam projects in her kitty.
