My first shot with Rajinikanth in Kaala felt like a lifetime achievement: Samuthirakani

National Award-winning actor Samuthirakani is working with Rajinikanth for the first time in Dhanush’s Kaala. The film is directed by Pa Ranjith.

National Award-winning actor Samuthirakani considers sharing screen space with superstar Rajinikanth in the upcoming Tamil gangster drama Kaala as a lifetime achievement.

“When I finished the first shot with Rajini sir, I felt so proud about myself. It felt like a lifetime achievement. I have waited really long to share screen space with him,” Samuthirakani said.

While he remains tight-lipped about his role, he is thrilled about the project. Bankrolled by Dhanush, Kaala reunites Rajinikanth with director Pa. Ranjith of Kabali fame. Rajinikanth plays a slum lord-turned-gangster in the film.

Kaala also stars Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Pankaj Tripathi and Anjali Patil, among others.
