Shruti Haasan to star opposite Thala Ajith Kumar in his next

Shruti Haasan has been paired opposite Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar in his yet-untitled next film, which will be directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by AM Rathnam.

Shruti Haasan may have walked out of Karthi-starrer, the yet-untitled Tamil-Telugu bilingual project and, in turn, has a case slapped against her for an arbitrary pull-out, but her demand in Kollywood is high as ever.

has been roped in for Tamil superstar Kumar's yet-untitled next film, which will be helmed by Siruthai Siva and produced by AM Rathnam.

"Shruti Haasan has been finalised as the heroine. The makers are looking for another actress to play the role of Ajitha's sister in the movie. The pre-production work is already underway. The regular shooting will start from May," said a source from the film's unit.

The source also confirmed that actor Bindu Madhavi won't be playing Ajith's sister.

Model-turned-actor Kabir Singh is in talks to play the antagonist, while the rest of the cast is being finalised.

Anirudh Ravichander has been signed on to compose the tunes.
