Lamar Jackson will have to get used to new ways in Baltimore. The Ravens on Thursday hired Jesse Minter as their new head coach, insiders revealed. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport even went on to suggest that there are two frontrunners for the Offensive Coordinator job - Joe Brady and Kliff Kingsbury. However, their hiring depends on whether they land head jobs elsewhere.

“I am truly honored to serve as the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. This is an organization whose values, culture, and tradition of excellence reflect everything I believe about the game of football and how it should be played,” Minter said, according to insiders.
Minter replaces John Harbaugh, who was fired earlier this month after 18 years, when the Ravens failed to make the playoffs.
"Jesse is a strong leader who possesses a brilliant football mind and a spirit that will resonate with our players and fanbase alike," General Manager Eric DeCosta said.
"Jesse comes from a football family, with success at every level of the sport, and we are confident that he is the right coach to lead the Ravens forward."

This comes as Jackson's tweet led to speculation. The Ravens QB reposted an X post with a child in his jersey, throwing around the football. The caption suggested that Lamar is considering a move to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Quashing all chatter, the 29-year-old clarified: "Lol I just posted the kid in the jersey didn’t even read the caption.”
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, the Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that Jackson prefers Kliff Kingsbury for the OC job.
The 42-year-old Minter interviewed with several teams before deciding on the Ravens. He has been with the Chargers for two seasons after two years as defensive coordinator at the University of Michigan. Minter spent four seasons at Baltimore (2017-20), rising from a defensive assistant to defensive backs coach in his final year. He also interviewed for the head coach openings in Atlanta and Miami earlier this week.
