India’s mixed relay silver at Asian Games 2018 set to be upgraded to gold

India are in line to get the Asian Games gold in 4x400 mixed relay with Kemi Adekoya of Bahrain being handed a four-year ban by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for failing a dope test.

Hima Das included in World Relays team despite pulling out of Asian Championships

Hima dropped out midway through her 400m heats on April 21 at the Asian Championships due to lower back spasm and she was later ruled out of the women’s 4x400m relay and mixed 4x400m relay races.

Asian Games 2018, Day 12 highlights: As it happened

Jinson Johnson and the Women’s 4x400m relay team clinched gold medals while Seema Punia and PU Chitra settled for bronze in Women’s Discus and Women’s 1500m respectively on Day 12 of Asian Games 2018. The Men’s 4x400m team added another silver to the kitty as India had a good outing in athletics. Asian Games 2018: Hima Das blames external pressure for disqualification in 200m event

In a Facebook Live video, in Assamese, posted after both events, Hima said she was under tremendous pressure to perform and blamed comments made by some as reason for her disqualification.
