Imagine visiting a house that is painted pink from top to bottom - and then stepping in and seeing more of the same colour even inside. A house that has pink walls, pink flooring and even has furniture that's all pink. 'Barbiecore' is a trend from the fashion world that's made its way into the world of interior design as well. Under this trend, people are using a bold pink colour palette to decorate every corner of their homes.
What is Barbiecore?

As the name clearly indicates Barbiecore is a viral fashion trend inspired by Barbie. The fad phenomenon has been on a rise since 2022. In fact several Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities too showcased their Barbicore style by dressing up in all pink. Currently, the trend is slowly claiming its presence in the world of interior designing.

A series of images shows the bold use of pink throughout the interiors - the bathtub, the chair cushion, the bed and even the teddy bear kept on it - all pink.
Here's a video that shows a person using napkins, paper towels and even toilet paper rolls that are, wait for it, pink:

“A much-welcomed mood-booster after the last few years, ‘Barbiecore’ is all about embracing vibrant hues – particularly the doll’s signature hot pink — in everyday life. And with many nostalgic for simpler, sunnier, and more carefree times, it only makes sense that this ‘80s-inspired, unapologetically pink aesthetic is taking center stage as the ‘it’ style of the moment,” Etsy Trend Expert, Dayna Isom Johnson told Harper's Bazaar.
