Being the first contestant to get evicted from Bigg Boss season 11, Priyank Sharma wishes he could spend some more time inside the controversial house. In an exclusive chat with HT, he tells us that he regrets having pushed Akash Dadlani, when the latter was having a heated discussion with Vikas Gupta, another inmate on the show. This actually led to his ouster.

“Salman Khan explained me where I went wrong and I apologised for my action. Pushing wasn’t the right thing to do. I should have handled it better. But I am happy for all the support he [Salman] extended towards me. He even said had he been in my place [during the fight], he would have lost it completely,” says Priyank, who earlier participated in reality shows including Roadies and Splitsvilla.

The way Priyank stood up for Vikas did raise many eyebrows. So much so that many reports did the rounds of them dating each other. However, Priyank refutes having an affair with Vikas, who is a TV producer, screenwriter and an actor. Reports about them being in a relationship caught fire after self-appointed film critic Kamaal R Khan tweeted, “Breaking News-According to sources, Priyank Sharma is boyfriend of Guy Vikas Gupta so they both are in #BiggBoss11”.

Reacting to it, Priyank retorts, “This Kamaal R Khan is one mad person. He enjoys spreading rumours. Vikas is like a friend and brother to me.”

Priyank also denied having any knowledge about his girlfriend Divya Agarwal showing displeasure over his proximity with two other inmates inside the house — Benafsha Soonawalla and Hina Khan, and Vikas commenting on it.

The 25-year-old clarifies, “I didn’t know she [Divya] said all that. She is good friends with Vikas and I know if at all they have any misunderstanding, they’ll sort it when Vikas comes out of the house. Divya also knows that I am good friends with Benafsha.”

Asked if given a chance, would he like to re-enter the Bigg Boss house, Priyank says he is open for a wild card entry if makers want him back. “I am a huge fan of the show and would love to go back. Now, everything depends on the organisers. Before Bigg Boss, I was offered the parallel lead role in Karan Deol’s [son of actor Sunny Deol] debut film [Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas], and also the lead role in the upcoming show Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya [a fiction starring most of the actors of the controversial show Pehredaar Piya Ki]. But, I let go of both these offers only because I wanted to be a part of Bigg Boss,” says Priyank, who is looking forward to spend his Diwali with his family in Delhi.
