In a market cluttered with music channels, Sri Adhikari Brothers is gearing up to launch its new music and entertainment channel, Mastiii TV reported indiantelevision.com.
Post the soft launch of Masttiii TV, the company is targeting early July to take the channel on-air.
“We will be launching the channel officially in early July. The marketing activities will be launched soon,” Markand Adhikari, Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network told Indiantelevision.com.
Modeled around 9XM format, Mastiii channel has roped in stand-up comedians like Raju Srivastava and Suresh Menon instead of animated characters. The channel will play full songs, while the comedians will fill in with gags and pranks.
However, it will be interesting to note how a new channel fares in an already cluttered music market. Popular music channels- MTV and Channel [V] have had to drop their music content in order to incorporate more youth based reality shows.
