TV stars are scooping up big bucks for Navratri events
As Navaratri begins, we take a look at popular TV stars including Deepika Singh, Divyanka Tripathi, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Karishma Tanna, who are in demand for appearances at various pandals.
Every year, during Navaratri, popular TV stars are much in demand to make guest appearances at various pandals. This year, too, several TV celebs will be seen at venues not just in Mumbai, but also in cities across Gujarat and some northern states, where the festival is celebrated with gusto. Pandal organisers look forward to higher footfall due to the stars’ presence.

That is why they don’t mind shelling out anything between Rs 7 lakh to Rs10 lakh for popular actors TV such as Divyanka Tripathi, Drashti Dhami, Aamir Ali, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Rashami Desai, Hina Khan, Disha Vakani, and Krushna Abhishek, among others.
The newcomers or semi-popular actors take home Rs 3 lakh to Rs 6 lakh for an appearance. With a visit that lasts for about half an hour on an average, the stars pose with fans for pictures, interact with the crowd, and even shake a leg on stage. These appearances also help them promote their TV shows.

The current update is that Disha, who usually frequents cities in Gujarat around this time, is still trying to lock some deals. Divyanka will visit a few venues across the city, and in places such as Amroli (Gujarat), Ankaleshwar (Gujarat), Bharuch (Gujarat), Champa (Chhattisgarh) and Ajmer (Rajasthan).
Sanjeeda will go to Surat (Gujarat) and Indore (Madhya Pradesh), while her husband Aamir will be seen at venues in Mumbai and Surat, as will comedian-host Krushna. Sara Khan, too, will go to Surat, and will soon lock one more city.

Deepika Singh, who is free now that her hit TV show Diya Aur Baati Hum has ended, will visit Delhi, Surat and Raipur (Chhattisgarh). “It is always fun meeting fans. I feel blessed to have fans who show up to meet me wherever I go,” she says.
Karishma Tanna had plans to go to many venues this year, but as she is busy shooting for her dance TV reality show, she is facing time constraints. She will be able to attend the celebrations only in Indore for now.

However, there are a few, including Dilip Joshi, Ali Asgar, Adaa Khan, Mouni Roy and Rithvik Dhanjani, who won’t be making appearances at any pandals, mostly because of work commitments.
