Turkish President’s aide Hayrettin Karaman has called for Ankara to get nuclear weapons. Karaman made the argument in an article in Yeni Safak daily amid the Gaza war. He said Turkey need the weapons to counter Israel. This comes as Erdogan has occasionally spoken about Turkey’s right to acquire nuclear weapons.
