U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to arrive late at the World Economic Forum in Davos, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirming a delay of nearly three hours due to Air Force One scheduling issues. Despite the delay, Trump is still set to address global leaders at the high-profile summit later in the day. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the forum, Bessent also outlined the United States’ priorities as it prepares to assume the presidency of the G20. He said economic growth will be at the centre of Washington’s agenda, not just for the U.S. but for its allies as well. The comments come amid intense discussions at Davos over global growth, trade tensions and geopolitical uncertainty, with Trump’s presence closely watched by world leaders, investors and policymakers.
