The Central Bureau of Investigation conducted pan-India raids at various official and residential premises linked to Congress MP Karti Chidambaram. The CBI has registered a fresh case in connection to allegations that Karti accepted a bribe of ₹50 lakh to facilitate visas for some Chinese nationals working with a power project, Talwandi Sabo Power Limited in Punjab's Mansa district. CBI raids were being conducted at 9 locations across Chennai, Mumbai, Karnataka, Punjab and Odisha.
