A 15-year-old Dalit boy, charged with the theft of a pigeon, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Haryana's Gohana town on Thursday. The incident led to angry protests by the villagers while the kin of the boy has accused the police of killing him while under custody. The boy's family has demanded Rs 10 lakh as compensation, apart from action against the two policemen accused of beating the boy, according to NDTV. The family also clashed with the police in Gohana on Thursday as they placed his body on the road, protesting and demanding action against the 'erring cops'.
