Covid: China's Wuhan to test all residents as original epicentre sees surge

Authorities in China’s Wuhan said they will test the entire population for Covid-19. This comes after the first Covid case was reported from the city in more than a year. Wuhan is launching a ‘comprehensive nucleic acid testing of all residents’, said a senior official during a press briefing on Tuesday. Seven locally transmitted cases were detected among migrant workers in Wuhan on August 2. China is battling its worst Covid outbreak in months fuelled by the delta variant. Beijing has now tested millions of residents and Cordoned off residential compounds. Watch the full video for more.
