Covid flash: India records drop in daily count, 37,500+ new cases in 24 hours

• India has reported 37,5668 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The country reported less than 40,000 daily new cases after 102 days. The active caseload declined to 5,52,659 which constitutes 1.82% of total cases. A total of 32.90 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far. India has registered 56,994 recoveries in the last 24 hours. So far, 2,93,66,601 patients have recovered across the country. Daily recoveries outnumbered daily new cases for the 47th consecutive day. The coronavirus recovery rate increased to 96.87%. The weekly covid positivity rate remained at 2.74%. Daily positivity rate at 2.12%, less than 5% for 22nd consecutive days. Testing capacity ramped up, a total of 40.81 crore tests were conducted.
