Covid update: Daily cases down, recovery rate up; WHO for delay in booster shots

India recorded its lowest daily cases in over 100 days and highest recovery rate since March 2020. This as health ministry says that vaccinations in India are inching closer to 60 crore. Meanwhile, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has admitted to 13,500 deaths due covid in the state but claimed that there was no fatality due to oxygen shortage. The United Arab Emirates has suspended visa on-arrival for India in view of the covid spread apprehensions. The World Health Organisation has asked nations to delay booster shots and prioritise raising the vaccination ratings in countries with just 1% or 2% inoculation.
