Covid update: UK adds India to ‘red list’; vaccination for 18+; Delhi lockdown

- From India expanding vaccination drive to Delhi government imposing a six-day lockdown, here are the top updates on coronavirus. India on Monday announced that it will be opening up vaccination for everyone above 18 years of age from May 1. States can procure doses directly from vaccine manufacturers now. Meanwhile, UK added India to its Covid-19 travel ban “red list” amid Covid surge. UK PM Boris Johnson cancelled his trip to India amid the rising cases. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi after mild fever. PM Modi wished for Singh’s speedy recovery.
