India sends vaccines to Nepal & Bangladesh; govt says ready to help others too

India continues to provide Covid-19 vaccines to neighbouring countries under the Vaccine Maitri initiative. In the latest, Nepal and Bangladesh received consignments of the Covid vaccines. On Wednesday, vaccines had been delivered to Bhutan and Maldives. India's Ministry of External Affairs had announced vaccine rollout for Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Seychelles, in keeping with its neighbourhood first policy. Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that India considers the whole world its family and it would supply vaccine to any other country across the world if the need arises. India, earlier this month, rolled out two vaccines- Covishield and Covaxin, the homegrown vaccine to flatten the Covid-19 curve. The Indian government launched the world’s biggest vaccination drive on 16th of January, 2021. Watch the full video for all the details.
