- Kerala, a state that was once hailed for its Covid management is now reporting around 50% of India’s daily Covid cases. The state’s total tally of positive cases has crossed 33 lakhs and the Health Minister has rushed a 6-member team to take stock of the situation in the state. However, a recent serosurvey by ICMR revealed that Kerala is at the bottom of the table when it comes to anti-bodies, meaning that not many in Kerala have yet been exposed to the virus. Meanwhile, politics is also rife on the issue & BJP’s Sambit Patra has alleged that it was relaxations given during Eid that’s driving the surge.
