Omicron scare:India's fresh Covid rules for international arrivals | Key details

- Govt revised guidelines for international arrivals in India with effect from December 1. Heath Ministry imposed the new rules in view of the new variant of coronavirus, Omicron. Govt earlier held meetings with top officials and the health ministry over the omicron variant. It said decision to resume regular international flight services from Dec 15 will be reviewed. Omicron, first found in southern African nations, has been detected in several European nations. Omicron has led to travel bans and imposition of fresh restrictions on many parts of the world. The new variant is feared to be more contagious than the previous variants. Experts also fear if it may affect the ability of the vaccines against Covid-19. Watch the video for more.
