Oxygen Express train with 30,000 litres of liquid medical oxygen reaches UP

- An Oxygen Express train with medical oxygen reached Lucknow on Saturday morning. Train carried 30,000 litres of liquid medical oxygen as UP battled a sudden surge in Covid-19 cases. The train carrying two truckloads of oxygen arrived at 6.30 am from Jharkhand's Bokaro. Railways on Wednesday had said it would run its second Oxygen Express to Uttar Pradesh. The decision came after a request was received from the state government. On Sunday, Railways had said it would run Oxygen Express to transport oxygen across the nation. Under the initiative, empty tankers will be loaded with oxygen & sent to states in need. Tankers will be loaded from Visakhapatnam, Jamshedpur, Rourkela and Bokaro plants.
