The Janakpuri West-Kalkaji Mandir corridor of Delhi Metro is set to be inaugurated on May 28. The 24.82 km long stretch is part of the Magenta Line from Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden in Noida. It has many firsts to its credit. These include the deepest station (Hauz Khas) and the steepest escalator (Janakpuri West) among others. Once thrown open to public on May 29, this section will provide easy access to the domestic terminal of the Indira Gandhi Airport and also reduce the commuting time between Noida and Gurugram to about 50 minutes.
