Comedian Vir Das clarified his comments in his recent monologue 'I come from two Indias’. Issuing a statement, the comedian said his comments weren't intended to insult the country. Das, who is currently in the US, uploaded the monologue video on YouTube on Monday. Video was part of his recent performance at the John F Kennedy Centre in Washington DC. In the six-minute video, Das talks about the country's duality & mentions some topical issues. Das touches upon topics like Covid, rape incidents, crackdown against comedians, farm protest. Since being shared, a section on Twitter has been posting clips & photos from his monologue. The 42-year-old comedian took to Twitter & posted a note, issuing a detailed clarification. Das said his intention was to sever as a reminder that the nation despite its issues was 'great’.
