Watch: Dilip Kumar discharged from hospital, wife Saira Banu takes him home

• Veteran actor Dilip Kumar is back home after spending close to a week at the hospital. Dilip was seen rolled out on a stretcher while his wife, Saira Banu waved at paparazzi. Dilip was admitted to PD Hinduja hospital & diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion. It means a build-up of excess fluid between the layers of the pleura outside the lungs. The actor underwent a successful pleural aspiration procedure on Wednesday. Dilip was initially supposed to be discharged from the hospital on Thursday. However, the family & doctors decided to let him rest in the medical facility for another day. Earlier, Saira urged everyone not to believe in fake rumours related to Dilip's health. Hindi cinema veteran, Dilip Kumar's career spans over five decades. The actor's hit films include Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Naya Daur & Ram Aur Shyam. Dilip's last big-screen appearance was in the 1998 film, Qila.
