Neymar will be ‘totally ready’ for FIFA World Cup 2018, says Maxwell

Former Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain defender Maxwell is confident that Neymar will be ready to lead the country at the FIFA World Cup in Russia this summer. “Of course he is ready. He has been in the light spot for the last five years. He was performing fantastic in Brazil. Then he came to Barcelona. He won Champions League twice and he did fantastic games. Then he went to PSG with a different role because now he is our leader, our best player. In the national team also the past four or five years he has been the leader. The guy everyone looks up to. He is totally ready. Physically he needs to still work a little bit after this injury, but he will be ready for the World Cup and he will be leading a fantastic team for sure,” he said.
