Champions four years ago in Brazil, Germany's World Cup defence ended on Wednesday (27th June) with a shock 2-0 defeat to South Korea. The defeat left Germany bottom of the Group F standings and has left the future of head coach Joachim Loew - and some of his players - in doubt. The squad returned home on Thursday, with Loew and captain Manuel Neuer facing fans and the media after arriving in Frankfurt. Germany had never previously failed to progress beyond the group stage, which first introduced to the tournament in 1950. (Video: SNTV).
