Tehran has turned into a global focal point of mourning as diplomats, religious leaders and resistance figures arrive in large numbers to pay their last respects to Ali Khamenei. From Hezbollah chiefs and Houthi officials to members of Kata’ib Hezbollah, the broader resistance front and representatives of the Afghanistan Mujahideen, a wide array of Iran-aligned movements have visited his casket, underscoring his central role in shaping the “axis of resistance.” Leaders from Lebanon, Iraq, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Georgia and India have travelled to Tehran, while media delegations from Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan document every moment for audiences back home.
