In a bid to keep a check on illegal fishing in the Indo-Pacific, QUAD nations – Australia, India, Japan, and the United States - have planned to launch a satellite-based maritime security system at the Quad summit. This will help the nations track China's 'fishy' business in the waters. As per reports, Beijing is responsible for 95% of illegal fishing activities in the Indo-Pacific. The big grouse is that Beijing often violates economic zones, leading to not only economic losses but also damage to the environment. How will this new maritime initiative help the QUAD nations against China? Find out.
