No blacklisting for Pakistan at FATF again: Implications and way forward

Pakistan is likely to escape FATF blacklisting and stay on the grey list yet again. FATF has asked Pakistan to firm up laws against terror financing. China, Turkey, Malaysia are firmly backing Pakistan in the FATF. The watchdog, in 2018, had placed Pakistan on the grey list and the watchdog has already granted Islamabad an extension till February 2020. Hindustan Times' executive editor Shishir Gupta explains the implications and what is the way forward for Pakistan.
