India factchecks US over Trump’s ‘Trade threat’ claim on India-Pak ceasefire

India has reportedly rebutted the United States' claim regarding the nature of diplomatic exchanges during the recent India-Pakistan crisis following Operation Sindoor. According to Indian government sources, while US Vice President JD Vance spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 9, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held discussions with External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on multiple occasions, there was no reference to trade or trade incentives in any of these conversations.
