Ahead of polls, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal extends ambit of ‘Jai Bhim Scheme’

The Delhi government has extended benefits under its 'Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Yojana'. The financial assistance under the scheme has been raised from ₹40,000 to ₹1 lakh. Now, the yojana will benefit OBC and poor sections. The benefits will be applicable to students whose family's earnings are less than ₹8 lakh annually. Under the scheme, the AAP government will also finance coaching of the students. So far, nearly 5,900 students have availed the scheme and got admission in IITs and medical colleges.
