Auraiya tragedy: Condolences pour in following death of 24 migrants in UP

Politicos condoled the death of 24 migrant workers in Auraiya road accident. The workers were travelling back home during Covid-19 lockdown on Saturday morning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of migrants and called the accident to be 'very tragic'. BSP Chief Mayawati said that the CM's directions aren't being taken seriously by officers because of which the accident occurred. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi among others expressed grief over Auraiya tragedy. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, meanwhile, held meeting and directed officials to provide best possible medical facility to the injured. The accident took place after a speeding mini-truck rammed into and climbed over a truck trolley. As many as 36 workers were injured in the accident, 20 of whom are in critical condition. The mini-truck was carrying 18 migrants while the truck trolley had around 42 others.
