Black money charges against Chidambaram is Congress’s ‘Nawaz Sharif moment’: Nirmala Sitharaman

Union defence minister, while addressing the media on Sunday, criticised the Congress party over its inaction against former Finance Minister P Chidambaram who is allegations of failure to disclose foreign assets. She called it the 'Nawaz Sharif moment' of the Congress party. Sitharaman further said that Rahul Gandhi should comment on the case and tell the country if he is going to investigate the charges against P Chidambaram and his family. On May 11, Income Tax department filed complaints before a special court in Chennai against Chidambaram's family, including his son Karti Chidambaram, under the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015.
