Many areas in the national capital were waterlogged on May 31. Delhi received a brief spell of rain, bringing respite from scorching heat. However, the poor civic condition became immediately apparent. An underpass in Delhi's Tughlaqabad was heavily inundated. Motorists, especially those on two-wheelers, struggled. At some points, the water reached chest level. Similar scenes were witnessed near the Delhi-Faridabad border. The roads were completely filled with water after the short spell of rain.
