Delhi violence: Police chief claims adequate forces; CM Kejriwal meets injured

As violence continued in the national capital for the third day, the city's police chief issued a statement. Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik said that news reports claiming that there were inadequate boots on the ground were wrong. He clarified that the Central government, which is responsible for maintaining law and order in the national capital, was providing full support to Delhi police. Meanwhile, the Lieutenant Governor, Anil Baijal, said that MLAs should help the police force in any way they can, to ensure that peace is restored. The Chief Minister also visited those injured in the violence.
