Watch: Kanpur cop reaches police station in inebriated state, suspended

An Uttar Pradesh cop allegedly misbehaved with people in an inebriated state. The incident took place inside Colonelganj Police Station in Kanpur. Police informed that the constable has been suspended for the act. The action came after a video of the incident went viral on social media. Constable was suspended based on report by Colonelganj PS in-charge. A medical examination of the constable was also conducted. Superintendent of Police (SP) Kanpur West Anil Kumar said, “We received a complaint about a constable who misbehaved in an inebriated state at Colonelganj Police Station. Station in-charge submitted a report based on which Constable was suspended.” In the video, the constable is seen arguing with a man at police station. The constable was alleging that the man had stolen his debit card and Rs 10,000.
