‘Maybe because I’m a Muslim...’: Zomato rider recounts ordeal

Amit Shukla cancelled his order as Zomato designated a 'non Hindu' delivery boy. He tweeted: 'Just cancelled an order on @ZomatoIN they allocated a non hindu rider'. Netizens slammed Amit for his hateful remark. Faiyaz Khan, the delivery boy recounted the ordeal and said it may have happened with him because he is a Muslim. Zomato replied to Amit's tweet: 'Food doesn't have a religion. It is a religion.'The tweet was followed up with one by Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal. He tweeted: 'We aren't sorry to lose any business that comes in the way of our values'.
