My First Vote: ‘Strengthen defence and promote education’, says first-time voter Kunal

Nearly 18 million people between 18 and 23 are estimated to cast their ballot for the first time in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Hindustan Times' My First Vote campaign aims to reach out to young, first-time voters to understand what they want, and what issues matter most to them. A first-time voter Kunal says he wants the incoming government to strengthen the defence system of our country. Kunal, 18, feels that the government should stop nepotism in politics and focus more towards the issue of providing equal education opportunities.
