An Odisha man took an injured snake to a hospital and registered it as a 7-year-old male. Snake rescuer Manoj Kumar Das found the cobra in the backyard of a local home. The five feet long cobra suffered major injuries on its belly. The 59-year-old social worker and ex-serviceman took the snake to Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital. At the hospital, Das registered the name of the reptile as Sapa (Odia for snake). The incident left the doctor and hospital staff terrified. Das said his decision to take the reptile to the hospital was to raise awareness about snakes. He added that there's a need to keep a veterinary hospital open for 24 hours.
