PM Modi visits ex-Union minister & fierce critic Arun Shourie in hospital

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited former Union minister Arun Shourie on Sunday. The latter is admitted at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune. Prime Minister Modi tweeted about the meeting, saying that they two had a 'wonderful interaction'. PM also prayed for Shourie's 'long and healthy life'. Shourie served as a minister in the AB Vajpayee administration but has turned into a vocal critic of the Modi government, especially over the Rafale fighter aircraft deal. He, along with ex-Cabinet colleague Yashwant Sinha, moved the Supreme Court seeking a review of its decision to not order a probe into the deal. The petition was recently dismissed.
