Rishikesh’s iconic ‘Lakshman Jhula’ temporarily shut for traffic

Iconic 'Lakshman Jhula' in Rishikesh has been shut down temporarily. The decision was taken by the administration due to its dilapidated condition. Lakshman Jhula was constructed by Uttar Pradesh public works department in 1924 and was opened to traffic in 1930. The bridge connects the districts of Tehri Garhwal and Pauri Garhwal.
