Siddaganga seer Shivakumara Swami dies at the age of 111

Shivakumara Swami, the main pontiff of Sree Siddaganga Mutt died at the age of 111. He had been in a critical condition for the last 15 days. He died at 11.44am on Monday. His cremation will be done at 430pm on Tuesday, January 22. Holiday has been declared in Karnataka tomorrow as part of the state mourning. The Lingayat seer was known as a “walking god” among his followers. The Swami was also awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2015.
