J&K: Srinagar Sees Heavy Security on Art 370 Abrogation Anniversary & Independence Day

Security has been significantly tightened across Srinagar ahead of India's Independence Day celebrations on August 15, with authorities increasing surveillance, deploying additional security personnel and intensifying vehicle checks across key locations. The heightened security also coincides with the seventh anniversary of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, which revoked the erstwhile special status of Jammu & Kashmir on August 5, 2019.
