Updated on Apr 26, 2016 09:53 am IST
As the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare approaches, a Brooklyn based rapper will be part of the celebrations in the renowned author's hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon in England.
Devon Glover, known as 'The Sonnet Man' is an artist and teacher who delivers sonnets in spoken word form set to hip hop in New York City. After failing an English course in high school, Glover decided he wished to make Shakespeare's writing “attainable” to all students. Glover will be performing at the Stratford-upon-Avon Literary Festival on April 23rd, celebrating the 400th anniversary of the famed author's death.
