‘Congress waived farm loan of Shivraj’s kin’: Rahul Gandhi counters ex-MP CM
Updated on May 11, 2019 11:34 pm IST
While addressing an election rally in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar, Congress President Rahul Gandhi took a dig at former Chief Minister of the state Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Stating that the Kamal Nath-led Congress government in the state had fulfilled its promise of waiving farm loan waivers, Gandhi countered Shivraj's charge that the party was lying. The Congress chief said that farm loans of the BJP leader's own relatives had been waived by the state government. Farm distress has been a major issue in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
