Modi govt takes down 35 more Pak YouTube channels;Blocks fake news against Rawat

• The Indian government has ordered to take down 35 YouTube channels and multiple social media accounts for spreading anti-India content. These YouTube channels and accounts had nearly 130 crore views. The blocked channels include ‘Khabar with Facts’, ‘Global Truth’, ‘Information Hub’, ‘Apni Dunya TV’ and ‘Bol Media TV’, among others. The move is in continuation with the Modi government’s crackdown on an ‘online war’ waged by Pakistan. Similar action was initiated by the Information and Broadcasting ministry in December 2021, when 20 YouTube channels were blocked for airing propaganda against India. "The content is absolutely fake and toxic like the government is responsible for Bipin Rawat's death, Bipin Rawat's daughter is accepting Islam, North Korean army is going to Kashmir etc,” said the ministry.
