Watch | LGBT to drive taxis in Mumbai, sign of social acceptance

Mumbai's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender citizens will soon be able to drive private taxis in the city, as a sign of the increasing acceptance of the marginalised community in India. A project launched by Wings Travels and Community organisation and Humsafar Trust will train up to 300 members of the LGBT community to drive cabs in the city.

The service, to be called Wings Rainbow, may then be expanded nationwide. Wing Travels also operates a taxi service that employs retired army personnel and one with female drivers for women passengers.
