‘Assam hotbed of Jihadis’: CM Himanta on terror as bulldozer runs over Madarsa

• Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the north-eastern state of India has become a hotbed of "Islamic Fundamentalism" with five modules having links with Bangladesh-based terror outfit Ansarul Islam found in five months. "Six Bangladeshi nationals belonging to Ansarul Islam had entered Assam to indoctrinate youths, and one of them was arrested when the first module was found at Barpeta in March this year," said Sarma said at a press conference. His statements came as authorities demolished Jamiul Huda madrasa in Morigaon under Disaster Management Act and UAPA, which was linked to one of the terror suspects arrested last week. "43 students were studying in this madrasa, who have been admitted to different schools now. Mustafa alias Mufti Mustafa had obtained a doctorate in Islamic Law from Bhopal in 2017,” the Assam CM informed. Watch this video for more details.
