Boost for Covaxin: After WHO nod, Lancet study says vaccine 77.8% effective

India’s indigenous Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin offers 77.8% protection against symptomatic cases, as per data released in the Lancet. Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech’s Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin is among the vaccines used in India for inoculation. The vaccine recently got WHO nod for emergency use. The data in Lancet said Covaxin is 77.8% effective against symptomatic Covid-19 cases and 93.4% efficacy against severe symptomatic Covid cases. Watch the full video for more details.
